Today, we celebrate Trinity Sunday and Father's Day. Interestingly, one key aspect of Trinitarian love is fatherhood.

A true father is one who imitates our heavenly Father. We see an example of true fatherhood very clearly in the life of Father Stanley Rother, who was martyred in 1981 and is currently on the path to sainthood. He was so consumed with love for his people, that he did not cling to his own life, but rather, gave his life away. We're called to do the same.
