Acts 20:34-35; Psalm 50:10-12
In this chapter, Paul encourages the church in Ephesus to remember his lifestyle, where he worked diligently and contributed to his fellow ministers, emphasizing that it is better to give than to receive.
There are countless reasons to give, but one key truth stands out: we should give because God gave us His most precious possession—His only Son.
We are called to give because we receive from the Father, who owns everything, as expressed in the Psalm "the cattle on a thousand hills" are His. We are merely His stewards here on earth.
Moreover, giving offers emotional benefits; we tend to be happier when we give, unlike those who hoard and do not share.
So today, consider giving to your fellow ministers, your church, your family, and your friends. Since God has given so generously to us, we should honor Him by giving in return.
