The Story Time Show

Giving Yourself Some Credit with Kathi Tait

Listen Later

Today’s episode is all about empowerment. The Baldwarrior, Kathi Tait joins the show to discuss her current writing projects (she has four books in the works!) as well as the life purpose she has found in fighting social norms around body image.

“One of the most inspiring things we can do is to show other women how to accept themselves and be comfortable in their own skin, find their unique strengths and just power through.”

This discussion goes deep and wide and ranges from where to find inspiration, how changing your mindset can make all the difference, why you should never rush to publish, and the importance of minding the company you keep, so strap in and get ready to take notes!

Tips

  • There is no need to be stuck in shame.

  • Don’t rush to finish a book — it’s not a race! Books evolve and authors evolve.

  • Mind your top five — be aware of who you’re allowing in your life because they will inspire you and lift you or they will hold you back.

  • Don’t take things personally — people’s reactions to you stem from their baggage.

  • Face your fears, embrace them and move beyond them — you will find freedom on the other side.

  • Give yourself credit! — We often don’t realize the impact we have on others.
