The number of earthquakes on ice sheets and glaciers has increased since the 1990s, with almost 6 times the number of earthquakes happening in recent years. In this podcast, Dr. Meredith Nettles, Associate Professor of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Columbia University, discusses these peculiar earthquakes and shows how new data allows us to learn how the ice is affected by changing environments. This lecture took place at the Museum on November 12, 2014.
