From BEC 2023, David Ferret, vice president of operations for Bagatelos Architectural Glass Systems offers a pretty stark reminder about the unknowns that can happen on a project and totally derail things. He provided an in-depth look at how someone from outside the project team—in this case a fire Marshall—can stop a project dead in its tracks.  

It’s a “nightmare” scenario, to quote David. And while it’s a fairly unique situation, David warned the audience that this could be a growing trend of regulators, plan-checkers, inspectors, getting in the way of projects.
