Welcome back to The Great Deception Podcast where I dive into the interesting story of the Inter-State Industrial Exposition building, aka the Glass Palace of Chicago. Constructed in 1873, in just 90 days, it was modeled after Crystal Palaces of London and NY, and was the precursor to the Columbian Exposition of 1893. After 19 years it was demolished to be replaced by the Palace of Fine Arts, the only 'permanent' structure from the 1893 Chicago World Fair.
