Glenn Shoosmith is the Founder & Chief Architect at JRNI (formerly BookingBug).
JRNI is a UK company now based in Boston after it raised $20m funding in the US. Something I have advocated for over a decade.
Datasift, Huddle and Skimlinks were all UK companies that followed the same path in getting funded in the US.
After graduating in 1997 with a degree in computer science Glenn spent 10 years working in a wide variety of industries, as a developer, consultant, team and project manager, including the pharmaceutical, television and financial industries.
Eventually he decided to step out and create his own company, and in 2008 started to work on BookingBug
Glenn founded BookingBug with the not-so-simple objective of building a platform through which time could be treated as if it were a stock innovatory item.
BookingBug is on it's way to achieving that goal, and although they started with small business clients, they quickly grew to supply technology to global retail brands.
