Perhaps one of the most influential venue operators in KW, Glenn Smith built much of the local blues community with his notorious venue Pop the Gator. Now owner of Ethel’s Lounge uptown, Smith recalls how he got started, what it takes to make a good venue, and the importance of knowing and caring about your community.
