continues to grow, with food and beverage companies using it to develop
new products and improve production processes. In 2025, food trends are
influenced by globalization, culinary innovations, social media, and
chefs' empowerment. Asian flavors are on the rise, with authenticity and
convenience being sought. Functional foods focus on flavors,
adaptogens, and functional ingredients, while seaweed is gaining
popularity for health benefits. Pistachio is gaining popularity, and
added protein is incorporated. Food waste and sustainability are
becoming more important, with consumers demanding transparency in
grocery production. Restaurants are targeting conflicted meat eaters and
e-commerce is dominating health product sales in China.InnovationsNestle
Japan introduced Nescafe Gold Blend Caffeine Half, aiming to lead the
decaf instant coffee market to 20% by 2030. Ben & Jerry's introduced
Brookies & Cream Sundae and Bohemian Raspberry ice cream flavors,
while Minus Coffee launched a beanless instant oat milk latte for
women's health. Kaytea introduced Hydro Infusions, electrolyte-infused
blends, and Ambrosia expanded its porridge range with a sweet cinnamon
flavor for health-conscious shoppers. Odwalla® is set to launch a new
line of juices and smoothies in the U.S. in 2025, catering to
health-conscious consumers. The line includes three signature smoothies,
three 100% juice options, and a not-from-concentrate Orange Juice.
Mondelēz International has introduced a new Nuii peanut butter and
Canadian maple syrup flavor to its ice cream stick brand, following
Nuii's strong year with a 23% growth. Meanwhile, Kirin Holdings
introduced an innovative Electric Salt Spoon at the CES show that makes
food taste saltier.
