The consequences on global mental health due to COVID-19 will be significant and cause long-term impact on the global burden of disease. Pregnant women are particularly vulnerable due to the state of partial immune suppression. Therefore, the COVID-19 pandemic may have serious effects for pregnant women. Besides the physical vulnerability, maternal mental health has significant influence on the child. Pregnant and postpartum women exposed to the global pandemic may developed PTSD in response.
