In this episode, we catch up with Dr. Wallace Alward, MD who is a Glaucoma specialist and Professor Emeritus of the University of Iowa Department of Ophthalmology. He was recently named as an Orbis Hero for his service work, especially during the pandemic when Orbis went virtual. Dr. Alward founded the website Gonioscopy.org in 2007 as a resource to teach gonioscopy to residents. He has also been a driving force in launching the Iowa Glaucoma Curriculum which is a 50 lecture introduction to glaucoma. He continues to be dedicated to his craft and is always looking to better the ophthalmology community.
