Advent means "coming." This time of year gives us the opportunity to remember something that has incalculable significance: Jesus' coming as a human. "The word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have see his glory, the glory of the one and only, full of grace and truth." He came in a time much like ours. A world filled with violence and counterfeit gods. As we take four weeks to celebrate the advent we pray that all words will amount to one appeal: "O come let us adore Him!”
