The recent backlash towards General Motors is the smoke before the fire. The idea that GM will make a compelling alternative to Apple Carplay or Android Auto within the next 3 years, is laughable at best. It's an insult to our intelligence. Google may be partnering with GM on this endeavor, but that does not make up for the YEARS both Google and Apple have poured into the constant updating and creating of their most profitable operating systems. This is a grab for your data and money. It's laying the groundwork for subscriptions and payment plans for in-car technologies.
