I used to live on a farm, and that farm had poisonous cotton mouth snakes. Scary for a little kid. I was walking in the fields with my dog Sandy, a cocker spaniel. And saw movement. A snake just a few feet from me. Sandy, this sweet little spaniel, snarled, leaped, and bit the snake in two. It squirmed and died, and Sandy then dropped it and kept on through the fields as if nothing had happened.
