During the pandemic, when some jobs were moving online, there was some discussion that it would be permanent. You had people moving to other parts of the country, maybe for a less expensive cost of living, and working remotely. And not surprisingly, they liked it. The freedom, the ability to be almost anywhere you wanted to be as long as there was a laptop and internet connection. But like anything else that sounds great initially, there can be a downside.
