Changes in our lives are always said to be embraced as they bring in a certain kind of new leaf to be pursued, to be embraced and let allowed to bring in a positive change in our lives. Though others may be tough and hard, not easy to accept and live by, but eventually as time does heal all the wounds, it heals the wounds of change to allowing for peaceful acceptance of the occurred change.
A change of new condition of life-time disability in a life previously lived fully abled can be very hard to accept and adapt to, as it might be posing as brining in a lifestyle of somehow dependency on certain resources for disabled people. All this can be devastating for one who used to live a free easy to get by live, now facing up with the tough challenges of disability.
The same kind of change was facing Mr Arthur Snyman. The 42 years old man from Ntswelengwe village in Kuruman who was a mine-construction worker came across an unfortunate car accident a little less than 8 years ago which left him wheelchair bound, rendering him incapable of perfoming his construction work duties. Mr Snyman was brave enough to embrace the unfortunate daunting change he was faced up with, pursuing other avenues of his capabilities. Mr Snyman has been making a living with self-designed hand-made shoes.
Upon realizing how his fellow disabled community members were struggling to get by and make something of themselves, Mr Snyman founded Kopano Dissability Organization which aims to get disabled people to work together to better their living conditions.
