Claire Haasl grew up in Green Bay, WI, and found her path to the University of Illinois at Chicago where obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Art History in 2004. After working for a development corporation for two years, Claire moved to Los Angeles where she earned a Masters in Public Art Studies from the University of Southern California in 2008.
After graduating, Claire married David L. Hoyt, and they moved back to Chicago where Claire began working as operations and development manager for a non-profit working in Arts Education. In 2015, Claire and David created the David L. Hoyt Education Foundation with the mission to support and encourage joyful, play-based learning.
Claire became a mountaineer after summiting Mount Kilimanjaro in January of 2017 -- a 19,341-foot peak, and recently moved to Gig Harbor, WA so that she could make hiking a bigger part of her life. When Claire isn't on the trails or globetrotting with David, you can find her cooking, reading, and loving on her cats, Simon and Tootie, and dog, Daisy.

Visual of wholeness - forefinger tips touching plus thumb tips touching creates a circle and when the two people separate they need to find something/someone else to fill in the gap. With forefinger and thumb making a circle on separate hands, then connect, when the connection is broken there’s a smaller gap to fill. The idea is that you need to be whole in yourself.
