GO!
TEXT: Matthew 28:18-19
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
The Kingdom is about Movement not MonumentsExamples: Tabernacle of Moses, Mission of Jesus, Mobility of Paul
2. God uses People as Vehicles to complete His Will in the Earth.
Ephesians 1:5 - he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will
Philippians 2:13 - For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him. NLT
3. The Kingdom of God is In You. It is not a Destination, but a place to Discover.
Luke 17:21 You won't be able to say, 'Here it is!' or 'It's over there!' For the Kingdom of God is in you."
Matthew 13:13…16,17
13 This is why I speak to them in parables: "Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. 16 But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. 17 For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.
4. A Believers greatest struggle is between His Will and My Will.
Jesus gives us this example in John 6:38 - For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.
5. In every situation, we have to ask ourselves who are we going to Crown. Whoever has the Crown, has the Authority.
Matthew 28:18 - All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
Also see … John 13:3, John 17:3, Hebrews 2:8-9, Ephesians 1:20-22
6. You Crown God by making Him Priority and giving Him authority in every aspect of your life because the Gospel transforms every aspect of your life.
Matthew 13:33 - "The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough."
7. Releasing everything to God Frees You to Go for God.
Psalm 55:22 - Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.
Proverbs 16:3 - Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans
** Matthew 6:25-33 **
25Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 32For the pagans run after all these things (, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
8. God commands us to Go & Make Disciples because He’s calling us to something Bigger than Ourselves.
Go let people learn from you.
Go show people your King.
Go share your God-given talents with the world.
Go serve others like Christ has served you.
Go lead others by example.
Go earn the right to pour into someone’s life.
Go show your friends what real freedom looks like.
Go love people who can not offer you anything in return.
Go explain what Jesus wants
Go influence your family
Go build relationships with your neighbors
Go tell people the truth
Go walk in your calling
Go live a life that brings God glory
Go make disciples
9. Disciples are not made accidentally. Disciples are made intentionally. Be intentional. Live life on Purpose.
10. The Time has Come. The Kingdom of God is Here. Repent and Believe the Gospel. (Mark 1:15 paraphrased)
