All Authority

The Great Commission is so familiar to a lot of Christians that it can start to sound like a job description — "go and make disciples" as one more task on the list. But Jesus doesn't send anyone anywhere until he first declares something that changes everything.

• Why the mission in Matthew 28 doesn't begin with "go" — it begins with Jesus declaring that all authority in heaven and on earth belongs to him
