178. Join us this episode as we pay tribute to the late Robert Gordon, sadly passing today at the age of 75. He was a phenomenally talented vocalist who made his distinct debut during the heady punk & disco days of the late 1970's, recreating and rediscovering authentic roots rock n' roll and then reinterpreting them with his strong baritone voice for a rockabilly-deprived music fans the world over. He helped to spotlight some incredible guitarists such as Chris Spedding, Danny Gatton and even widening his spotlight to include seminal guitar god Link Wray. Thankfully, I had many chances to experience his talents, even interviewing him for a recent episode of "Go Kat, GO!" when he was promoting his latest LP "Rockabilly For Life." Enjoy hand-selected favorites from the far-ranging repertoire of Mr. Gordon as well as many choice requests from his fans in tonight's show. This loss hurts, especially at a time when we're losing so many of the last surviving original rockers. His music was and will always be integral to the roots rock 'n' roll landscape and we'll continue to happily honor Robert Gordon musical legacy tonight and always on "Go Kat, GO The Rock-A-Billy Show!"
