From deep within the Motorbilly compound, hidden inside the Motorbilly Studios come DJ Del Villarreal's "Go Kat, GO! The Rock-A-Billy Show!" Sad news to report as we announce the passing of legendary Detroit rockabilly icon Johnny Powers at the age of 84. Johnny had been in contact with us recently so it comes as a shock to learn that died yesterday. We'll honor him this evening with a generous selection of his world famous songs. RIP Johnny Pavlik, aka Johnny Powers. Mac Curtis will have a birthday tribute this evening and we'll dig into the hot new recording from Blue Dawn & The Day Breakers (LA), dig the Rockats latest, go racing with Maryann Lantz, bop on down to 706 Union Avenue with Memphis Blues Cream and slide into Nashville with BR5-49! Longtime friend Marc Oppet will visit us to talk about this weekend's 2023 Vintage Electronics Expo happening in Southfield, MI this Saturday (maybe I'll find some more analog gear for the studio!).
