Being from the District, there isn’t much that surprises me. I have been around the world and nothing can replace the love that I get. When I’m not writing I am training, teaching and coaching. There is not greater reward than that. I am talking about influencing people and making a direct impact. Leadership development is my thing. That is what I do and I love it. 10 years in the game, I have been in clubs, poetry hot-spots and I have interviewed and the one thing that I always carry forward is humility – I am as big as the fans determine me to be. Maybe I’m too much – too real for them. I won’t compromise who I am and maybe that is why I am where I am now but it’s okay.

NAPPY IS GOOD (2005) started my writing career. It started off as a collection of short stories and poems. Fans called it a conversation, so that is what I went with. It is a timeless classic.
FIRE AND RAIN (2006) is the title of the second book and first novel. It did really well. This was a romance written with men in mind. I wanted to get more men reading by creating a bad-boy character that WE could identify with. It proved to be a good move. Everybody loves a bad boy!
If you know anything about me, you know that I am a boxing fan. So in 2006 I came up with a premise. I asked myself if a man could handle being in a relationship with a professional female boxer, so I wrote about it and published it in 2011. In 2012 I took a short break and decided to do follow up Nappy is Good with the exclusive E-Book Nappy is Better.
