EPISODE 304 WIT' URBAN GOSPEL RECORDING ARTISTS, THOMAS WARE.
URBAN GOSPEL Thomas Ware was born and raised in the small town of Groveland, Florida. Born into a family of singers and musicians, it would appear Thomas' destiny was written from birth. His father Thomas R. Ware Sr. was known for his traveling gospel quartet in Ohio, and his mother Lucille Ruffin was known for her strong voice in the church choirs she sang in. From childhood he studied the sounds of traditional gospel singers in the Pentecostal church setting, Church of God by Faith.
Entering into adulthood, Thomas would leave the Church and begin to tour as a secular rap artist sharing the stage with OutKast, Eve, Eight Ball & MJG, Ja Rule, and many more. It would appear that Thomas' career was well set in stone until God showed him otherwise. Returning to the Church world Thomas' calling would be made evident as doors immediately began to open for him in Nashville, as his unique style of writing gained the attention of A&Rs at major labels such as Warner Brothers Christian label (Warner Word) and more. This eventually landed several of Thomas' songs on major record releases, as well as him appearing as a featured artist, thus beginning ongoing requests for new material from the talented writer. "Thomas has the ability to leave a lasting impression on the world of gospel music" - Bennie Diggs.
This central Florida native presents a beautiful arrangement of Praise & Worship that is flawlessly able to be placed in any genre of Christian music. He is also one of few gospel artists with music able to impact and encourage people of all ages. His first Christian released EP in 2010; “The Labeling Theory” consisted of irresistible rhapsodies that continue to raise eyebrows. With a growing number of features and collaborations in the US & UK, and his music career with both gold and platinum artists, Thomas now has slated to release his newest project in 2015, simply entitled "CONTAGIOUS HOPE MUSIC". You will be pleased with the selections on this project.
