I’ve heard so many coaches and consultants tell me they don’t really know where to find their ideal clients.
One of my mentors recently told me, “If you want to find the right clients, you need to know what the signs of your right clients look like and how to follow the signs.”
What are the organizations or associations your ideal client is likely to join? What are the social circles they’re likely to be a part of? Where are your ideal clients spending their time when they’re not on the clock? What is their personality type and how does that affect how they socialize?
When you can identify groupings by behavior, education, likes, interests, and even schedules, that’s when you can show up where your audience already is and prove you’re someone worth noticing.
That means jumping into an online community, like a Facebook group or a LinkedIn group. It may mean using BuzzSumo or AnswerthePublic to find what your crowd is searching for right now.
It may mean ignoring some social media platforms to focus only on one or two and going all in if you know your audience is already there.
Today is about going where your market already is. Where are they posting, searching, and commenting? Look for the signs and spend more time in those areas today.
