Many Christians hesitate to share their faith because they prejudge people's hearts before giving them a chance to hear the gospel. Jesus' parable of the sower reveals four different responses to the gospel message, but our job isn't to determine which type of soil a person represents. Like the farmer who scatters seeds everywhere, we should share the gospel without judging who might be receptive. First impressions can be deceiving, as shown in D.L. Moody's experience with a hostile man who later came to faith. When we stop prejudging and start faithfully sowing the gospel seed, God brings surprising harvests we never anticipated.

For she kept saying to herself, “If only I touch his cloak, I will be healed.” But when Jesus turned and saw her he said, “Have courage, daughter! Your faith has made you well.” And the woman was healed from that hour. When Jesus entered the ruler’s house and saw the flute players and the disorderly crowd, '
