When the early Christians were dispersed abroad, preaching the gospel as they traveled, their dispersal was not a pleasure-oriented or relocation-aimed kind of dispersal. Instead, they were scattered because of severe persecution, a run for dear life, marked by a lot of uncertainties.

But even as they were faced with such desperate circumstances, they did not neglect the Lord's instruction to preach the gospel.

If these people could not be detered by their perilous situation, then we who live in times of peace and safety have no excuse for not preaching the gospel.

All who ever embraced the mandate to preach the gospel, did so because they were people of strong convictions, being fully persuaded of the power of the gospel.

In this part of our teaching series on "Go Ye", we examine the examples of people who went forth with the proclamation of the gospel.
