If a world class athlete, business owner or other high achiever is going to quit, it will likely be in what I call the "Daily Grind"
- Confidence starts to erode
- You start to get grouchy
- Tolerance drops
- Enthusiasm drops
Every goal of significance has a daily grind component that cannot be avoided. The symptoms above are actually a sign of progress. The important thing at this point is to stay in the game long enough to wake up on morning with belief that we can (and will) finish what we set out to do.
