Goat in a Boat
The children's book Goat in a Boat follows a protagonist who attempts to provide a new meal for his fellow castle residents, who are tired of eating only oats. While fishing in the moat, the main character inadvertently dredges up a large pile of discarded weaponry rather than the fish he intended to catch. This metallic haul becomes essential when an invading army approaches the fortress, as the character and his friend Stoat use the clanging gear to sound an alarm. Their quick thinking alerts the castle guards, who successfully repel the intruders by throwing food from the battlements. Although the mission to find a fresh dinner initially seems like a failure, the discarded items ultimately save the kingdom from a surprise attack.
