What was Paul trying to convey to us when he wrote, "love always protects"? The Greek word used for "protects" in this sentence has several different definitions. First, God protects us physically, just like protected his people all throughout the Bible. Second, He keeps our personal business in confidence.  We serve a God that doesn't throw us under the bus and talk about us behind our back. Third, God never gives up on us. God is constantly pursuing us no matter what we have done or what's been done to us. Understanding how God protects us better helps us to know how to protect others.
