Rev. Stone continues in our series on the Gospel of Mark. How does our identity in Christ shape how we live? We find ourselves in a tension between our identities as Christians and the government and culture around us. Four implications: 1. God has established legitimate government authorities so we should both honor our leaders and obey the laws of the state. 2 There is a distinction between church and state. 3. there is always a tension between our citizenship in the Kingdom of God and our national citizenship. 4. We need to render our lives to God.
