Do you know someone who doesnt steal? Doesnt run with a bad crowd. Gives thanks to God for his blessings. Prays. Fasts. And even gives generously to the church and to the poor? Someone who does all that is required and more, but for all the evident devotion, is not saved? Thats because pious acts dont improve our standing before God.
