8 He raises up the poor from the dust; he lifts the needy from the ash heap to make them sit with princes and inherit a seat of honor. For the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, and on them he has set the world.

Hannah's prayer miraculous birth and prayer in 1 Samuel 1-2 is the theological introduction to the fall of King Saul and the rise of King David. We see in 1 Samuel that God sovereignly builds up and tears down for his glory in provision to his people. This is most especially true in Christ, the humble King on the cross.
