Deuteronomy 34 and Joshua 1–2 remind us that when one servant’s assignment ends, God’s purpose does not end with him. The Lord buries His servants, raises up others, and keeps leading His people forward. These chapters are full of grief, transition, courage, promise, and faith. They show that the work is God’s, the future belongs to God, and His people must keep moving under His word.
