We are going to spend some time looking at our labors in a series called: on the goodness of work. What does it mean to be human? We have all heard: you are not what you do. This is true, but work is a core part of our humanness. Why did God make humanity? “So that they may rule.” We were created to rule (to make something of God’s world). So let’s begin to explore together what working, resting, and living a full existence look like. We will start this first week where all stories start -- in the beginning. The very first story in Scripture starts with God at work. Our study for this week is called: God Calling.
