1 Samuel 3 starts with the words, -In those days the word of the LORD was rare- there were not many visions.- While small, this sentence speaks volumes as to the displeasure of the Lord for His people at this time. He has withdrawn his illuminating presence from his people and, as a result, they stumble around foolishly in the darkness. While this is a desperate place to begin, amazingly, by the end of this chapter we find that the Lord is once more revealing himself to the nation. The word of the LORD has returned in its brilliance- So what has happened in this chapter to bring about such a change- And what does it mean for us at Coro Baptist and the larger church- We will find out, God willing, on Sunday.
