Are you in a season right now where you feel like everything around you has turned to ashes? Then this episode is for you.
God invites us into His story of redemption. It’s an exchange for our ashes and brokenness for beauty, the kind only He can give us. You are made for a purpose, on purpose.
Mary and Farah talk in this episode about how we went from mourning to joy again. Even as you’re walking through the fire, God uses it all to bring about His plan and His beauty. The challenge is trusting Him with it all, which is not always easy. We are His glory, His workmanship, like the huge Sequoia trees in California. These beautiful trees actually rely on the wildfires that happen so often because their pinecones are sealed shut and they need the heat of fires to release their seeds, which are carried on the wind to be planted and reproduce.
The fire also burns away all the brush around the Sequoia trees, perfectly creating a way for those seeds to be spread. The ash provides those seeds with the nutrients they need to grow into something new, beautiful, and glorious.
Will you allow God to burn away the things in your life, or trust Him to be with you in the fire so He can use it all to bring growth, life, and healing?
Our scripture for the day from Isaiah says He has planted us like great oaks. He has caused our roots to dig deep, so we are steadied and made strong.
