Weighing in on the civic virtue of Christians owning guns, Douglas Wilson said,

“Gun control is something that tyrants always want. When political rulers are eager to disarm the general populace, it is not paranoia to suspect that other issues are in play. When those political rulers are overbearing, what power-grabber worth his salt wouldn’t want strict gun control? What lover of liberty would ever consent to that as being a good idea?.”

Pilgrims, as gun violence increases—or better yet when mass shootings become the political talking point of the mainstream media—American Christians often find themselves in a very uncomfortable place. While the idea of common-sense gun laws certainly seem to make sense, the fact that progressives are usually the ones pushing for these things leaves people feeling skeptical and uneasy.

In this episode of the Pugnacious Pilgrim Podcast, Mike and I talk about the idea of gun control, the laws that currently exist, the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution, and what the Bible has to say about them all.

We then encourage our listeners to not only be aware of the truth, so they can discern what isn’t true, but also to consider taking an active stand for the freedoms we still have in America today; the freedoms which some seem eager to label as immoral and to do everything they can to take them away from us..
