I'm Dr. Siovaughn Funches, and I'm honored once again to be your host here on The One ThingThat's Needful Podcast. In this episode, we continue our powerful series titled "God Has Not Changed His Mind."
Together, we dive even deeper into Numbers 23:19, which reminds us that God is not a man that He should lie, nor the son of man that He should change His mind. What He has spoken, He will surely perform.
Through the life of David, God continues to show us that no amount of adversity, delay, or opposition can change His mind about His promises. The devil may try to wear you down with discouragement or fear, but every trial is an opportunity to strengthen your faith—not weaken it.
We revisit David's journey from being anointed as king to being hunted by Saul, learning how jealousy, fear, and disobedience can open the door to destruction—but faith, humility, and obedience keep us aligned with God's will. Even when David had the chance to take revenge, he chose instead to trust God's timing and let the Lord fight his battles.
God is reminding us through this word: guard your heart, stay steadfast, and don't let hard times make you hard. His promises are still true. His Word still stands. He has not changed His mind about what He spoke over your life.
