There are persons very close to us who bear unspeakable secrets.  There are those who we love who have come to believe that they are unworthy of love or of being loved.  The distant ones are cut off from themselves and real relationships beacuse at some point in their history their hearts were shattered by a so-called loved one who abused that love, and  told the victim to stand guard before the tomb of a terrible secret.  Victims of abuse are made to stand guard over the tomb of their own undoing.
