It is a book you find yourself going back to and reading the same chapter (divided actually in daily readings) over and over, because you are drawn back to it. It is so beautifully written that each daily reading is almost like beautiful poetry. As a reader, you'll bring in your own sorrows, happiness, and problems and what you take away is a feeling of love, peace and spiritual growth. It inspires you to understand God's word and making that application to life. Robin Zaruba's book, "God Is" IS that lift you're looking for. It makes a great gift and a supplement in understanding the Bible. My family and I use "God Is" as part of our church and bible study lessons on a daily basis. I strongly recommend this book.

A Refreshing Spiritual Journey

This devotional gives a creative, open-minded perspective on who God is for each and every one of us. The poetry is moving, the personal experiences are relatable, and the explanations are truly eye-opening. I have used several of the included prayers on multiple occasions, and I feel that my relationship with God has been strengthened through the ministry provided in this book.

A thirty day devotional worth repeating

Robin is a lyricist and a good one. His poetic style comes through on each of these daily readings. Iâm particularly fond of this one line: âHe calls from the land of tomorrow, âI am already here, and all is wellâ.â That is quite a statement to ponder, for it is easy to forget that our God already knows how it is all going to work out. This is just one example of the refreshing point of view Robin delivers about the many facets of the mighty God we serve. I found myself recalling personal experiences that perfectly agree with many of these characterizations of what âGod Isâ. I expect that I will recall some of these depictions of what âGod Isâ as I move through future experiences. This is an easy book to read in that the offerings are delivered daily in nice size morsels that leave the reader with a lot to chew on.
