Exodus 33:18-19

When Adam and Eve sinned, God drove them out of the Garden of Eden. Many use this account as a basis for questioning the goodness of God, holding that He just got mad and drove them out in a fit of anger as punishment for disobeying Him. However, when you take this incident in context with the whole Bible, and in light of God’s goodness, you can begin to understand not only the reason He drove them out, but also why. He did it out of a goodness and love that reaches down through the ages even to you and to me.
