God is love. Everything about the Gospel reflects this one truth

We see it in verses like Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

But it's the one truth people have the hardest time believing.

Sin, fear, guilt, and the lies of this world paint God as a mean, judgmental being who is out to get us at every turn.

That's how I thought about God for many years. And I lived in fear of his punishment.

But the day I fully believed that all my sins were forgiven was the day the love of God broke through to my heart.

If you want to really know that God is love, rest in Christ's finished work and then let the love of God break through to your heart.
