God Is Transitioning The Church
The church is transitioning from all about us to all about Him!
“Church members” will no longer be made up of church shoppers and church hoppers they will be transitioning to “family members”. They will not be driven by a consumer mindset instead they will be led by the Spirit of God.
Pastors will transition from platform preachers to being willing to shepherd a flock in a field. It will no longer be about their platform and gift it will be all about their sheep. They will once again find their instrument of praise and be willing to worship God in field all alone. They will lay down their desire for a crowd and pick up their desire for a character that models Christ.
God is once again planting oaks of righteousness for the display of His splendor.
We are coming out of an age where ambition has driven men and women to sacrifice their very family to build glorious “temples” for God. Now God is looking for those who are willing to leave what “man” has built in order that He may use you to build His desired “temple”. God is about to have the church of His dreams - a family who operates under the fear of the Lord.
In the beginning it will seem as though the old version of “church” was more magnificent than what God is about to do in this age.
In Ezra 3 the older priests, Levites and family heads who had seen the former temple, wept aloud when they saw the foundation of the new temple being laid, while the younger generation shouted with praise.
Those who worship and admire the structure and system of the way church has been done will weep at the sound and sight of the new church. Those who are focused and living their life for what God wants to do today will shout with praise!
God is transitioning His people from worshiping church models and systems back to just simply worshiping Him.
This was a video I recorded for the launch of The Waiting Room. A church God is planting for family to come home to located in New Market, VA.
