In today’s Gospel we read the final chapter of Jesus’ sermon on the plain. Told through a series of parables, Jesus seeks to teach his followers the true meaning of discipleship and how to achieve it.

In the first parable, Jesus poses a question to his followers. He asks, “Can a blind person guide a blind person? Will not both fall into a pit?”
