Derek goes on location to Magrath, Alberta — the first place in Canada where his Canadian ancestors settled. From his ancestral Canadian home, and near the graves of his parents and pioneer ancestors, he reflects on “O Canada” through the lens of Essential Dynamics.

The Canadian national anthem becomes a hymn, a prayer, and a way to think about Canada as a stewardship: a land to love, see clearly, guard, and improve.

This Canada Day episode is a personal reflection on inheritance, gratitude, patriot love, and hope for a better day.
