Happy National Coming Out Day! đ
In this episode titled God Loves Gays, Tweety talks about how the obstacle thatâs in her way of having a relationship with God is the fact that sheâs gay. Even though people always say âGod is love,â religion has taught her that God isnât love â that you have to change, be âdelivered,â or fix who you are just to be accepted by Him.
She opens up about how that belief has affected her relationship with God now, and how sheâs been looking for a sign from God to show that He really does love her for who she is, that she doesnât have to change and sheâs not going to hell for who she loves.
Caitlin reads scripture about how God is love and reminds everyone that to be a Christian means to be like God. Anybody who judges gays to the point where they feel like the church isnât where they belong, or that theyâre going to hell for liking the same sex, is not doing their part as a Christian. Because as believers, youâre supposed to love and welcome, not condemn.
