No, he sticks with you through thick and thin, and he does so to bring about his plan in your life.

You may find this hard to believe, but consider how he treated Israel, the group that Nehemiah called "arrogant and stiff-necked."

"You are a forgiving God", he wrote, "gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. Therefore you did not desert them."

No, God did not desert Israel. And he does not desert us.

You may be crying out for help or wisdom right now.

It may seem like he isn't listening to your cries.

But be assured that he is and that he is patiently working out all the details together for your good.

When the answer does come, count on it being better than anything you dreamed or imagined.
