Genesis 6:1-8 furnishes us with the story of man's continuing depravity and not just a slide, but a full-blown jump into wickedness and sin. Sin has consequenses in our lives. Sin grieves the heart of God. Is my heart and yours grieved by our sin. This passages shows that God is judge of sin; because He is good, He must judge. Verse 8 shows that God is also a God of grace. There is hope for the sinner. Cast your care on God; He cares for you.
