God rules P2: Daniel 1: 1-21

1. The Introduction: Do we believe that God rules in all circumstances?

1.1 Big Idea: To look at two evidences of God’s rule in the world from Daniel ch1 vv1-21 to encourage us to trust in God (1-21)

2. The first evidence is: God gave Jerusalem to King Nebuchadnezzar (1-7)

3. The second evidence is: God gave favour to Daniel and his friends (8-21)

4. Conclusion: the exhortation: These two evidences of God’s rule in the world from Daniel ch1 vv1-21 to encourage us to trust in God – will we (1-21)

Reflection: Do you believe that God rules in all circumstances? The first evidence to show us that God rules by giving Jerusalem to King Nebuchadnezzar – do you believe this? The second evidence to show us that God rules by giving favour to Daniel and his friends – do you believe this?
