God Stepped Into Our Story To Save Us
Ever felt like you’re walking through struggle alone? We share why the God who made you also stepped into your story, took on real temptation, and now meets you with mercy instead of distance. Drawing from Hebrews 4, we explore Jesus as our great high priest who knows our weakness firsthand and invites us to draw near with confidence for timely help.
We start by grounding the human story in Genesis—formed in God’s image, fractured by sin, and living with the fallout we all see in greed, violence, and despair. Then we shift to the heart of the gospel: Colossians 1 and Philippians 2 reveal who Jesus is—the image of the invisible God who humbled Himself, became a servant, and reconciled all things through the cross. John 3:16–17 reframes the mission: not condemnation, but love that gives life. That’s why empty pleasures can’t heal us, and why grace is more than comfort; it’s power to forgive, restore, and transform.
We also get practical. Acts 2:38–39 and Romans 10:9–11 outline a clear response—repent, be baptized, believe, confess Jesus as Lord—and we talk about the gift of the Holy Spirit who renews us daily. For the battle with temptation, 1 Corinthians 10:13 offers a way of escape, and Romans 6 calls us to live free from what harms us. Along the way, we share a personal update and invite you to our midweek English service, because this journey is better in community.
